Things to consider when installing Nurajacks
Tiles and deck pavers must be strong enough to carry foot traffic weight when supported on four edges. Before purchasing your tile or paver, ensure the supplier warrants it will work with the Nurajack system.
Ensure the system is braced against the surrounding cladding systems using clear packers. Nuralite has a selection of packers available for purchase.
The membrane must be clean and clear of foreign objects before installing the Nurajacks. It is best to install the Nurajack system over membrane products which are very durable such as Nuraply 3P. Liquid membrane systems should be avoided as they require recoating to maintain their integrity.
The foot of the support should rest completely on the membrane to ensure the load is evenly spread. Point loading from shims or foreign objects could damage the membrane and void the supplier’s warranty. Do not allow leveling shims to damage your waterproofing membrane – choose Nurajacks, the only tile support jacks available with a self-levelling head.
Nurajacks are well suited to sheet membrane systems, their wide base ensuring loads are well distributed.
We would recommend all decks are waterproofed with Nuraply 3P before using the Nurajacks – then it is a complete system from a single supplier. However, if you are intending to install Nurajacks over an alternative waterproofing system please check with the supplier beforehand. Some suppliers claim their warranty is voided by the use non-approved systems.
