3
Ideal for tanking and basement applications needing robust waterproofing.

Introduction
Nuraply 3PT and 3PTM are trusted tanking solutions for below-ground waterproofing, used on thousands of successful projects across New Zealand. Designed for below slabs, basements, retaining walls, and lift pits, these membranes offer exceptional durability and hydrostatic resistance.
Nuraply 3PT is a post-applied membrane that is torch-applied to prepared walls after the concrete is poured. In contrast, Nuraply 3PTM is a pre-applied system, loose laid before the pour and mechanically keyed to the slab, forming a strong bond as the concrete cures. Both products are made from modified bitumen and are designed to adhere tightly to substrates for long-term performance. Their use is well-documented in infrastructure builds, residential developments, and commercial foundations.
Installation must follow Nuralite’s specification guidelines, including use of compatible primers and protection during backfill. With CodeMark certification and a long history of success, Nuraply 3PT and 3PTM give designers confidence in critical below-ground applications.
Considerations
Pay particular care if high hydrostatic pressure is expected: Where water pressure is expected to be high or prolonged, additional reinforcement may be required.
Requires smooth, dry, primed substrates: Successful adhesion depends on the surface being clean, dust-free, and fully primed. Rough or damp substrates can compromise bond strength.
3PTM can be installed for blindside walls with the concrete wall poured against it. Consult Nuralite for specifications in this situation.
3PT is not UV-resistant or trafficable: The membrane must be protected from sunlight and mechanical damage — typically by a concrete slab or protection board.
Not for use near plant roots. If used by garden areas 3PG should be used instead of 3PT.
