Nuratherm Tapered PIR System
This solution helps eliminate ponding by forming slope while contributing to the roof's thermal performance.
1
Built-in slope promotes effective drainage, reducing the risk of ponding water.
2
Saves the time and expense of creating falls on concrete or CLT substrates
3
Works seamlessly with Enertherm PIR and Nuraply membrane systems.

Introduction
Enertherm Tapered PIR is an engineered insulation board designed to create drainage falls within flat roof systems. Used in warm roof applications, it eliminates the need for screeds or structural falls by building slope into the insulation layer itself.
This product is ideal for concrete or CLT substrates or refurbishment projects where structural slope is unavailable or impractical. Enertherm Tapered PIR has been used on a range of commercial and civic developments across New Zealand, helping to achieve both thermal and drainage goals in one solution. It is installed over the vapour barrier and beneath the waterproofing membrane, typically in combination with a Nuraply system.
Correct layout planning and design input are essential for tapered installations, and Nuralite offers full support with take-offs and layout drawings. For specifiers wanting a guaranteed-falls warm roof solution, Enertherm Tapered PIR offers a proven path to performance and compliance.

Considerations
Design coordination is essential: Tapered layouts must be carefully planned to ensure correct falls to drains. We have experienced inhouse staff who can assist with the most efficient and cost effective design option.
Increased installation complexity: Boards must be laid in a specific sequence and orientation. Incorrect installation can compromise drainage and thermal continuity.
The ALU foil facer is conductive. This means that, in a first for New Zealand, all Nuratherm PIR installations are able to be installed ready for Electronic Leak Detection.
Nuralite stocks 1:60 (1°) slope boards. These create a fall in excess of the minimum for compliance with the Nuratherm Codemark certificate
