For over a decade the Nurajack system has been used successfully, often in challenging situations, throughout New Zealand.
Certain projects require tiles or pavers to be securely constrained. The Nurajack Windproof system provides a reliable, professional solution for these situations. The system features a metal clip that attaches to the head of the Nurajack pedestal, anchoring tiles without the need for glue or screws. By securing each paver, it evenly distributes the deck’s weight, preventing individual paver uplift. The Nurajack Windproof system can withstand:
Wind speeds of up to 212 km/h (59 m/s)
Upward pressure of 2166 N
Nurajack Windproof Solutions for High Wind Loads
For projects exposed to higher wind conditions, performance can be enhanced by:
Increasing the weight of the pavers
Using an aluminium-framed system integrated with the building structure via the Nuralite Fixing Plate
Nurajack Windproof Self-Levelling Tile Head
Nurajacks feature a self-levelling tile head, ideal for structural tiles, stone, and concrete pavers designed for floated applications. Benefits include:
Integrated rubber pad to minimise vibration, footfall echo, and tile movement
Self-levelling head to prevent point loading
Wide base to protect underlying membranes and ensure deck stability
With the Nurajack Windproof system, your decking remains secure, stable, and durable, even under challenging conditions.
Considerations for Nurajack Windproof Installations
When using the Nurajack Windproof system, keep the following in mind:
Tiles or pavers must be milled at all four corners to accommodate the clips. This can be completed off-site or on-site using a grinder and table.
Use the Nurajack Skirting Trim to protect the perimeter of the tiled installation and ensure a clean, finished look.
